Boundary Oak School Records Best-Ever GCSE Exam Results with 97% Pass Rate
Students, parents, and staff at Boundary Oak School, an independent day and boarding school in Fareham for children aged 2 to 16, are celebrating its strongest GCSE exam results on record.
The school achieved a 97% overall pass rate, in addition to 39% of students securing Grade 7 (A/A*) or higher - a clear reflection of academic strength across a broad range of subjects.
The results include an exceptional individual performance from Head Girl Bonnie, who achieved 10 Grade 9s. Bonnie joined Boundary Oak in Reception and, alongside her academic success, represents Hampshire at Youth Parliament. She has secured a place at her chosen Sixth Form.
Boundary Oak was particularly pleased to report that a third of students achieved exceptional value-added scores, gaining an average of +2 grades per subject compared to their baseline assessments. While Mason, who joined Boundary Oak as a military boarding pupil in Year 3, achieved an average value-added gain of +2.5 grades across his subjects. This demonstrates the strength of our Boarding House and whole-school provision in laying consistently strong academic foundations for success at GCSE.
The results were strong across a broad range of subjects. In Further Mathematics, 100% of pupils secured Grade 7 or above (A/A*) alongside 80% of Triple Science students. Geography, History, Business Studies, French and Music also recorded strong outcomes, with at least 60% of pupils attaining at least a Grade 7. Practical subjects also excelled, with Design & Technology and Food & Nutrition, outperforming baseline expectations by more than one grade on average.
Headteacher, Sophie Savage congratulated the students on their achievements. She said:
'Today is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students, and I am absolutely delighted with the results they have achieved. These outcomes reflect not only their academic ability, but also the dedication, perseverance and positive attitude they have demonstrated throughout their time at Boundary Oak School.
'This year group has been a genuine pleasure to work with. Over the past few years, we have watched them mature into confident, thoughtful and responsible young people who have embraced every opportunity available to them. Their exceptional work ethic, commitment to their studies and willingness to support one another have been evident throughout their GCSE journey, and they thoroughly deserve this success.
'We are equally grateful to our staff, whose expertise, encouragement and unwavering commitment have helped every student to achieve their personal best. The partnership between our students, staff and families has been instrumental in supporting these excellent outcomes.
'While we celebrate today's academic achievements, we are just as proud of the character, resilience and values these young people have shown along the way. They leave us as well-rounded individuals, ready to take the next step in their education and beyond.'

Boundary Oak congratulates all its GCSE students and looks forward to following their continued success as they move on to the next stage of their education.
