Bromsgrove School Sixth Form pupil published by British development organisation

Bromsgrove School is delighted to announce that Sixth Form pupil Ayaan Rauf has been published by the British development organisation DARE-RC, which also collaborates with the University of Oxford. Ayaan has co-authored a blog exploring how behavioural science can be used to help shape education in the developing world.

The blog examines key questions about attendance and performance and looks at how friendly, small interactions can change perception and attitudes of both pupils and parents by using empathy to empower and inform. Aryaan used his interest in behavioural since to explore how everyday habits, motivations and mental shortcuts can influence the behaviour of students, parents, teachers and school administrators.

Mr Adam Hutsby, Director of the International Baccalaureate and Economics teacher at Bromsgrove School, commented: ‘It is wonderful to see how classroom-based teaching of Economics has inspired Ayaan to extend his knowledge of the subject area through the co-authoring of this blog.’

The blog can be read in full on the DARE-RC website at:https://darerc.org/using-behavioural-science-to-improve-education-a-global-perspective/
