Our View

Dr Max Husmann founded Institut Montana Zugerberg in 1926, dreaming of creating an international day and boarding school where pupils from different cultural backgrounds would learn together in a welcoming, tolerant environment. This, based on the holistic ideas of Swiss educationalist Johann Pestalozzi is exactly what he did. The three original pillars – internationalism, individualism and integration – are still central to the school today.
