Smack-bang in the middle of the city, sandwiched between Magdalen College and Christ Church meadow, MCS’s location is a real stunner. The oldest and prettiest parts of the school – built from golden syrupy Oxford stone – back right onto the banks of the River Cherwell and from here, it’s a quick saunter over a white-painted bridge to what must be the world’s most idyllic sports fields, marooned in the middle of the river overlooking the university Botanic Garden with both Tom and Magdalen Towers in view.
